In charge of the ministry:

Hans Ruegg: I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ in the year 1984. Two years later, I started studying theology in Basle (Switzerland), where I graduated in 1992. Additionally, I received a specialized training for children's ministry with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Switzerland. Since 1993 I live in Cusco, Peru, and since 1995 I am training Sunday School teachers.
Virginia Ruegg: I am from Cusco; I got to know the Lord Jesus in 1988. Since then I learned to live trusting in Him. I am a nurse, and I also worked with children for some time. Now I collaborate in the ministry of "Hijos del Altísimo", and the education of our own children Josías and David is also an important part of my ministry.

The "Hijos del Altísimo" team during this year:

From left to right: Yony, Ana, Julissa, Hans, Virginia, César.

Ana, Julissa, César and Yony committed themselves to work with us in their spare time during the year 2001. They participate in the Leadership Training and collaborate leading the Children's Discipleship Group (see page "What do we do?"). Pray for these new leaders, that the ministry of the Lord may be multiplied by them!

To which organization do we belong?

We do not belong to an organization in the sense of being "employed" by them. We are members of a local church in Cusco, but our ministry is interdenominational in benefit of all churches. Most of our activities are coordinated with the APIEC (this is the local Evangelical Alliance), or directly with the churches asking for our collaboration.
We do not receive any payment or salary for our work, so we depend on voluntary gifts. Much of our support comes from Switzerland where it is administered by the association "Helping Hands".
